No wonder I couldn't see what was happening under the pier - I thought I was going daft when I couldn't see (cos I certainly hadnttt had mush to drink) but it must have been Lorna's boob tube. The howling gale blew it onto my face and I brushed it off and that policeman got it!! If we'd belayed and cramponed Julie up in all that wind, there might not have been such a scene under the tower.

I was so surprised to hear the mention on Fylde Radio, though. I really thought we had managed to cover Lorna up after the boob tube incident but those photos in The Gazette really were a bit risque. This woman is a show off, if ever I saw one.

As for the rest of you - YOU tied me up under the pier. After Kathleen had let the donkeys loose Doreen decided we should tie them up again and the pier legs were handy. She must've mistaken me for a donkey although how on earth she managed that when I was wearing a gold lamee diving suit I'll never know.

I'm under the weather today - shocking head etc.

But it WAS a great night!

Dear Lyn,

I have to explain to you about the scissors. It is not that we don't appreciate you helping us by wanting to cut our hair , we just don't wish you to do so. You must remember the skier after you cut his hair during the olympics last year? The poor man was devastated when he found his lovely blonde locks (AND MINE) hanging from your tin tray. Rose was very upset when you cut up her lovely hat in Blackpool and may not come out with us again if you don't agree to leave them behind. Kathleen also had to set the donkeys free to escape your scissors as they did not want a hair cut either. Actually, Kathleen may want to use them in her team for the olympics as they can fairly go.RollEyes

Kathleen, I think we may have found a sprinter for the 100 metres in 2012. Lorna can fairly move when she needs to. Perhaps we could have Lyn brandishing the scissors at the start line during our training which may be effective? I can see it working like the hare at a greyhound track maybe? Have you started to compile the list of our competitors yet? It really needs a lot of organisation. By the way, I put the collection into the training fund.Cool Blink Wub

Brilliant start to the party season girls and, it has to be said, behaviour was much more restrained and lady like than usual, well apart from Julie and her exposure.Blushing Blushing X

NEWS FLASH.....

Small and enthusiastic pre-schooler division of the tassel brigade informs me that "Father Kiss Mouse" Lives up the "Chimlee".

Wonder if there are any CHIMLEES we could inspect on the way to the kebab house this evening?

Problem with mulled wine, Lorna, is that it's "let down" with fruit and other such daft stuff - so isn't too potent. I don't know how we'd manage to keep it warm, either, especially in Lapland. Anyone got any bright ideas?: Caroline - how wonderful that you are joining us on our next little trip! You DO realise that you will have to be very very smart, don't you? The fashion police, ie Eleanor and Suzanne, won't let you on the plane unless you look astoundingly stunning. I also hope you are not going to prove to be a show-off (like Lorna) removing your boob tube at any opportunity, or Julie climbing the tower in a very flimsy little number. Quite shocking - it really was and the rest of us were very embarrassed.

When are we off then? This weekend or doesn't that give Doreen and Lyn time to get their slap on?

Lapland here we come!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I`ve managed to borrow a St. Bernard from a girl I used to teach - he`ll come in very handy to help us along, and I`ll be sure to fill that little barrel around his neck with a warming drink (or several!)

I`ve made a lovely furry outfit, with twinkling lights in the shape of silver stars embedded in the fur, and I`ve got gorgeous sparkly silver boots over my leather trousers.Haven`t decided about the hat yet - anything with tassels is out, as Lethal Lyn will chop them off with those scissors of hers from which she won`t be parted.

Make a big cake, Eleanor - you know it has such a nice effect on us.

Hi Jean,

I never thought about keeping the mulled wine warm, just thought of it as hot. RollEyes What about Sloe Gin now there is a lovely warming drink and very potent. Tastes wonderful too.

Getting my little Santa number ready for the weekend Wub Think Santa will be pleasantly surprised BigGrin Or scared with a crowd of drunken women coming to assist the elves. Scared Scared

Sounds a hoot........ Are we inviting the Coldstream Guards in their Busbys, we could share the Busbys. And the Firemen too just to be on the safe side when Lyn and scissors are on the loose. BTW I was a runner in my day but ssshh dont tell the others. Can't wait till the weekend....... see you soon xx

Lorna, just for you we will ask Kathleen if the ceilidh band would agree to join us.BigGrin I think that they may consider it if we promised that Mary, Doreen and Jean would not use their instruments for dancing aroundThumbDown ; Jenni would agree not to attempt to bring a donkey on the plane as she did the last time that they cameBlushing ; that Lyn would not cut their hair in any cirumstanceBlink Scared ; that I would put icing on my special cake and that the darned snake did not sleep in the tubaWub ! Last but not least, that we would agree to share our medicinal liquids with themRazz . Of course this would mean that we would require a better means of secreting it away just in case of dire medical needHuh . Lorna could perhaps be entrusted with this as Amanda had not proved to be able to resist the desire to experiment with cocktailsThumbDown . x BigGrin

Hi,

Sounds fab, that's my kilt getting packed now too. As for the booze I will do the job if needed, Amanda may be too busy with her new baby. Smile

I'm sure the Coldstream guards will keep Mary, Doreen, and Jean from getting into mischief when they are dancing. Or will that make things worse. Blink Your cake sounds amazing. We could offer Lyn an extra helping if she leaves the scissors behind LOL LOL

As for Jenni and the donkey, ask if the St.Bernard and barrel would be a better swap. Also Jenni bring Bernice along to see "Father Kiss Mouse" Lives up the "Chimlee". ahh so sweet. BigGrin BigGrin she can sit on the dog. We can all take turns keeping her amused. ThumpUp

LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL

Felt really unwell the last few days but this has really cheered me up and given me a good laugh ThumpUp Thanks guys Smile

I will be ready for Lapland shortly just seeking out my furry muffler to keep my hands warm. I'm not sure I could manage an extra portion of Eleanor's cake OhMyGod ... the stuff is truly awesome and once applied with her icing treat it will be a feat of deliciousness. Lorna, I really must show you the lovely new scissors that the guys bought for me! They're bright primary colours each with different cutting blades. Wonderful as it means I can perfect all sorts of unusual designs. Scared I'm just thinking Santa might quite like a slightly unusual trim of beard this year to keep up with the times ThumpUp No? Confused Confused

How's St Bernard Kathleen? Are you getting him trained up and ready for the job ahead? At least all this snow is giving him some practice!

Catch you guys later Smile x

Oh, Bernie (my very original name for the St. Bernard ) is doing very well indeed. I put a lot of whisky in the barrel around his neck, and even though he was almost bent double, he managed very well. In the end I had to keep drinking some, as I knew it would lighten his load, so to speak.

Eleanor, I have the ceilidh band primed and ready to go, as long as you keep to your promise about the cake. Also, Bernie is a very placid dog, but might not get on so well with Jenni`s donkey, so we might have a problem there.

For goodness sake, we must keep Lethal Lyn away from Santa with her scissors, or none of his elves will recognise him.

We need to make sure Jean, Mary & Doreen don`t get drunk & start singing. If they start "Roll out the Barrel" Bernie gets confused & barks a lot.

I like the idea of the Coldstream Guards coming along, but I`m a bit wary of entrusting Lorna with our "medicine," as we can`t be sure she hasn`t come under Amanda`s influence - I suppose we`ll soon find out.

Has everyone got their outfits ready? Just wait until you see my footwear - I`ve designed some very special snowshoes, with a little ski attached to each one. They have little silver bells on the ends, and when the bells ring, the runners light up with lovely multi-coloured sparkles. They`re quite unique, and Doreen will be really jealous.

Oh very twee!! RollEyes
I have had a brilliant idea, I've attached tennis rackets to my stilletos to use as snow shoes, and if we run out of snow we can always have a game of tennis!
I've decorated them with neon paint, strings of lights and tassels! Now who's the jealous one?

I think it would be best if Jean and I look after the drinks.
